Two busy corporate lives. A home out in the sticks, down a gravel lane. And the people we love, scattered far enough that birthdays kept slipping by.
We were not careless — just out of sight of the dates, and out of practice at writing. So we built the thing we needed: someone to hold the year, and a reason to sit down and write.
